Where in the World is WB?

It was a fun-filled vacation for ninth-grader AJ Z., eighth-grader Kaitlyn Z. and Tooker fourth-grader Jake Z.! Along with their parents, the siblings spent nine days at "The Happiest Place on Earth!"

Jazmyne (SHS Junior), Quentin (JHS eighth-grader) and Xavier (JFK kindergartner) spent some time in Maine, where they swam, went paddleboarding and enjoyed some fishing!

These girls were #LivinTheDream at the JoJo Siwa concert! The third and fourth-grade friends forever from Santapogue, Forest Avenue and neighboring towns include: Alexis, Londyn, Callie, Alexa, Samantha, Olyvia, Nadia, GiGi, Presley, Bella, Luna, Ariana, Alyssa, and Madeline.

West Babylon teacher Mrs. Pino (Tooker first grade and JFK second grade) and her son, Christian (a West Babylon Senior High School graduate) went to Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX to see friend and WB alumni, Cory Sakaski graduate as an Army Combat Medic. Way to go, Private First Class Sakaski!

Erik M. continues his adventurous summer! Since our last post, he made his first visit to Jones Beach, went to the Riverhead Aquarium and took a ride on a go kart!

Santapogue fifth-grader Makayla M. played in the USSSA Fastpitch All-American softball games in Viera, FL. She was selected to represent the northeast region of the country and go up against the best of the best! Go Makayla! 


L

Sophomore Nick L. is a man about town! So far, he’s visited Citi Field, home of the NY Mets, the Vessel, the centerpiece of Hudson Yards, the Lighthouse at Fire Island and Patsy’s Pizzeria!

Brothers Brandon (Tooker fourth-grader) and Luke (Tooker kindergartner) traveled to upstate New York where they hiked the Natural Stone Bridge and Cave. They also made a stop at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum.

West Babylon was well represented at the JoJo Siwa concert this past July! First up: Alyssa, Sophia, Bianca, Lola, and Lennon looking fashionable as they enjoyed the concert!

Santapogue fifth-grader Brody C. has been having a great summer at Long Island Voyager’s Day Camp! He’s been making friends, swimming and paddle boating. He’s also played laser tag and mini golf, visited Adventureland and went to the movies. More adventures are still to come!

Retired Forest Avenue teacher Carolyn Bogart and current Forest Avenue teacher Denise Riccio, along with their husbands, cruised to Bermuda this summer!

First-grade Forest Avenue friends Pearl K. and Cecelia L. have spent their summer days together at camp and swimming lessons. On the last day of camp, the girls wore matching outfits!

It has been a wet and wild summer for Lauren (Grade 8), Lindsey (Grade 7) and Leah (Tooker Grade 5)! The sisters have spent time at Splish Splash and Venetian Shores.

Santapogue fourth-grader Brandon P. and his sister Ariana visited Guyana where they got to ride on horses, milk cows and eat exotic fruits. When they returned, they enjoyed the 12th Street block party where Ariana's lemonade stand was a hit!

Matthew L. (Grade 7) and Eric L. (Grade 10) attended Camp Yawgoog Boy Scout Camp in Rhode Island. During their stay, the brothers learned leadership skills and made the most of the wet weather!

Meet incoming Santapogue kindergartner Sahana K. This summer, she hosted her 3rd Annual Lemonade Stand and School Supply Drive. She uses the money she collects to purchase school supplies for the Only Love Foundation, which builds schools in Africa.

The Grad Squad was out to celebrate the graduation of Class of 2019 members Charlie D. and Liam R! With sister Lia D. (Tooker fifth-grader) and West Babylon alumni Sal C., they set sail for Bermuda to celebrate Charlie’s graduation. Mom (Lisa D., first-grade teacher @ JFK) and dad (Billy) came along for the ride. According to mom, dad came to “foot the bill!”
